Hi I am an ENT resident with 2 unfinished projects that I could use help with which would in turn put your name on the paper.

1) Anatomic study of the course of Spinal Accessory Nerve in relation to the IJV: I have written the intro, methods, and have all the results but I need someone to do the statistical analysis and write the results section basically. The paper is almost done otherwise. We can send it for pub by September. You'd be 3rd. author.

2) Historical study...

ten year surgical history as a PA doing > 1000 EVH for CABG. Extensive post-surgical care experience.
LORs are really good and very personal. Surgical clerkship attending willing to make calls for me.
Basically, I love all types of surgery and would be happy doing general but I really love the ENT cases I have been exposed to. Do I have a chance? I am taking Step II early and given my miniboard scores and...

Someone last year started a thread that had people who already ranked post their rank list, with the rationale that the lists were in and they could be more candid about their thoughts on the programs they interviewed at (For 2008-2009 Applicants Thread). Hey guys, I am new to this forum and I just figured out that I love ENT and want to spend my life doing ENT. I am a third year med student and am just finishing my surgery rotation. My schedule is such that I will not be able to do my first ENT rotation until August 2009 (which I already have set up). My question is where should I do my second away ENT rotation in September 2009? I come from a school that does not have a home ENT program, which I realize puts me at a disadvantage....

Are oto residents required to take the ABSITE?

ya ya i know this is off topic. but my cointern this month is a prelim for rehab. they do nothing and seem to make loads of cash. whats the catch? what am i missing here. dont get me wrong, ent is great and i'm grateful for matching last year. but really, whats the catch

Matched... incredibly excited! but now that it's real, I'm starting to get nervous about residency, what little knowledge I know to take care of people, and if I have any surgical skill at all (which at this point, I have none!)... anyone else in this same boat? Anyone feel this way and came out ok?

Congrats to everyone who matched. I was looking for info to help prepare for residency and came across a new website ( http://www.headmirror.com ). Looks like it is still under construction but has a lot of good information including what appears to be the beginning of a 'ENT survival guide'. Anyways, thought everyone might find this useful.... looking forward to meeting my new residency class tomorrow.

In past years people have posted where they matched along with contact info. It has been a nice tradition, and people tell me it has been a way to keep in touch with friends they met on the interview trail.

One word of caution. I would obfuscate your email address a little to keep any spambots away.
Something along the lines of otomatch (aatt) gmail dot com instead of otomatch@gmail.com

Thoughts on Texts for ENT Residency

Specifically, it seems like most residents use Bailey's or Cumming's...any takes on Ballenger's as compared to the standard texts? Any others? I'm not really referring to the more abridged versions (Lalwani or Lee), although discussion of those might be helpful to others.
